Originally conceived for video, RUPTURE was commissioned by Brody House and adapted into a site-responsive live intervention for a private evening event. Stepping away from the quietude of formal museums and galleries, the performance dropped the stark, white-painted figure directly into a nightlife setting. In intimate proximity to the viewers, the performance makes palpable the friction between social celebration and a tormented, highly expressive internal world.
